Part of the fun when cruising is staying overnight either on a mooring or at anchor and going ashore by dinghy. The ASA 116, Dinghy and Outboard Endorsement course covers all aspects of how to safely and efficiently operate a dinghy with an outboard motor.
This course is one full day (6 to 7 hours) on the water.
Prerequisites:
ASA 101, Keelboat 1

- Types of dinghies and the advantages & disadvantages of each
- Proper boarding - from a dock or a yacht
- Outboard engine operation
- Rules of the Road
- Towing
- The ASA 116, Dinghy and Outboard Endorsement course is one day.
- Class size is limited to two students.
